Energy Management System
ALMACO’s Energy Management System (EMS) allows cruise ship owners to monitor and control the energy usage in the galley areas and optimize operational maintenance.
With our system, owners can save up to 25% of electrical power consumption for the cooking equipment or even more when combined with the ventilation system. The biggest energy savings can be made by selecting products with low overall energy consumption. When combining energy-efficient equipment with EMS, the overall energy consumption in the catering areas is reduced significantly.
Besides energy savings, EMS also provides a tool for achieving operational savings in service and maintenance. By monitoring the running hours of the galley equipment, preventative maintenance plans can be optimized to lower risks and increase savings.
UP TO 25% ENERGY SAVING
By optimizing when the cooking equipment is turned on and off according to real usage, up to 25% energy saving can be achieved. The energy savings can potentially be even higher when combined with demand-controlled ventilation management hoods or canopies.
OPTIMIZE OPERATIONAL MAINTENANCE
More efficient use of the cooking equipment means less ware and tare which gives the equipment longer lifetime. EMS can be used for scheduling maintenance milestones, tasks, and follow-up to minimize equipment failure or downtime.
INDIVIDUAL EQUIPMENT CONTROL
EMS offers both individual and mass management of every piece of equipment in the galley. With EMS, the cooking equipment can be monitored and controlled both in the galley and remotely. EMS is compatible with ALMACO’s ICM (Integrated Catering Management) system.
