ALMACO Group Rewarded With Continued Maintenance Contract For Marella Cruises

Posted on March 17, 2025

ALMACO Group is proud to announce the successful continuation of its fleet maintenance services for Marella Cruises. Marella Cruises is reconducting its maintenance contract with ALMACO for 2025, reflecting their satisfaction with the provided services.

COMPREHENSIVE GALLEY MAINTENANCE DURING VOYAGES

ALMACO’s work with Marella Cruises and ship management company Columbia Cruise Services focuses on maintaining galley equipment, a vital part of the ship’s food service operations. ALMACO technicians visit each ship once a year, performing planned maintenance while the ships are sailing, minimizing any impact on daily operations. The approach, tailored to the client’s priorities, helps ensure that galley equipment remains reliable and efficient throughout the year, reducing the likelihood of unexpected issues during high-demand periods.

Matthew Easton, Hotel Technical Manager at Marella Cruises’ said “Thanks to ALMACO’s maintenance plan, we are dealing with fewer maintenance matters and have subsequently been able to use the current parts we have on our ships and not need additional spare parts.”

COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS LEAD TO EFFICIENT OPERATIONS

The success of this partnership is a testament to the excellent collaboration between ALMACO, Columbia Cruise Services, and Marella Cruises. Closing the LifeCycle loop by delivering Maintenance, Equipment replacement and larger Modernization projects. Mathias Roberts, Vice President of Sales at ALMACO, remarked, “At ALMACO, we have a long history of working together with Marella Cruises. It’s an honor to extend the collaboration from projects, modernizations, and aftersales to turnkey lifecycle services. Our joint efforts have led to fewer maintenance matters during the high season and reduced operational costs. With less need for emergency parts and fewer interventions from original equipment manufacturers, our clients can focus more on delivering exceptional experiences to their guests.”

LOOKING FORWARD TO CONTINUED SUCCESS

By continuing to focus on efficiency, communication, and high-quality maintenance, Marella Cruises and ALMACO are well-positioned to ensure a positive, uninterrupted cruising experience for passengers.
